Florida team dominates Great American Shootout

It's not every day that a high school freshman takes it to a bunch of seniors on the basketball court, but Sunday in the championship of the Bryan/College Station Great American Shootout Team Breakdown freshman guard Brandon Knight did just that.

Knight led Breakdown with 43 points to give the Florida-based powerhouse the tournament championship, 80-69, over Team Texas South 2007 - a team made up of unsigned high school seniors. Knight, widely considered the eventual top player in the nation in the class of 2010, paced Breakdown with 30 points in the first half to give Breakdown a 46-28 lead at the break.

The 6-foot-3 Coral Springs, Flor., native was all over the place in the first half.
