Thompson talks about NU

Just about everyone knows that Northwestern is on the prowl for offensive linemen to fill out its Class of 2008, and after bagging a pair of Chicago-area big men, the Wildcats have their gaze fixed on The Woodlands (Tex.) tackle Brandon Thompson.

Thompson has a 6-foot-6, 280-pound frame that would make him a prototypical collegiate tackle. And while he has yet to name any favorites from among the 13 schools that have offered him a scholarship, it's clear from talking to him that Northwestern ranks pretty high.

Thompson's opinion of Evanston is based solely on what he has heard and read because he has yet to visit NU. But Northwestern's campus location on the shore of Lake Michigan, just north of Chicago, intrigues him.
