Cyclones among six for Kansas back

Iowa State is among several schools showing strong interest in the top running back from one of the top junior college programs in the country. Beau Johnson led Butler Community College in rushing last year with over 1,100 yards on the ground, but was it the player or the system? Judging by the growing interest in Johnson, it was in fact the player.

Johnson is a 5-foot-11, 220-pound native of Lilburn. Georgia, who ended up in El Dorado, Kansas, as a non-qualifier out of high school in 2006.

Among the schools interested in Johnson right now are Auburn, Kentucky, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Nebraska.
