Good morning for Konz, Badgers
Fresh off of verbally committing to play for the Wisconsin Badgers as a member of the Class of 2008, Neenah, Wis., offensive tackle Peter Konz caught up with BadgerBlitz.com to discuss his a.m. decision.
The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Rivals250 to watch Class of 2008 member took the day off of school Wednesday to be in Madison for an academic tour turned face-to-face meeting with UW head coach Bret Bielema. Konz took the tour, but the most exciting part of his day was deciding his college future, which he talks about in the following interview.
Your mom told me earlier that you committed to Wisconsin. I'm trying to find out when that happened and how it went down
It had to be around 10:30 this morning, so I was up there in Coach Bielema's office and I felt pretty good that I knew that I wanted to go to Wisconsin after going to a couple places, evaluating my offers. It just felt like the right fit, so I just decided that I have my senior season of football to look forward to and you know just one less thing to worry about. And I said, "Coach, I'm ready to commit."
