Louisville making headway with star QB

One of the most popular stops in the Southeast for college coaches this fall is Mathews (N.C.) Butler High School. A wealth of talent exists at the Charlotte area school and among the most heavily recruited is quarterback Jacob Charest. The 6-3, 190-pound Charest heard early and often from Louisville and has the Cardinals at the top of his list.

Charest currently holds offers from Cal, Illinois, Louisville, Akron, Oregon and North Carolina A&T. Louisville was one of the earliest to extend their offer.
