North Carolina's Finest: 10-6 toured the state of North Carolina this spring, evaluating several of the state's top gridiron prospects in the Class of 2008 at various Combines. After careful consideration, we release our "North Carolina's Finest" pre-summer Top 25, a list of the best of the best in the Tar Heel State.


No. 10 Braden Hanson QB Charlotte (N.C.) Latin

Tall and somewhat lanky, the 6-6, 200-pound Hanson has no problem seeing over his offensive linemen, and he does a very nice job leading his receivers with his passes. The Southpaw also combines good footwork with a fast release. He doesn't have a problem tucking the ball and running when pressured, and doesn't shy away from contact. In 2006, Hanson completed 70 percent of his pass attempts (172 of 245) for 2,695 yards and 39 touchdowns. He threw just 12 interceptions. Hanson doesn't play against elite competition in the North Carolina private school ranks, but his complete domination of that level as a junior proved that he is a bona fide quarterback prospect at the next level.
