The honest Mr. Carter brings the hammer

Bruin sophomore linebacker Reggie Carter's poster shot from last season's USC game is the stuff legends are made of. That picture can be seen everyday somewhere. Not bad for a redshirt freshman playing in the biggest college game of his young life.

Besides becoming known for the poster shot, Carter is also known as a thunderous hitter. The kind of hitter that when he connects it can be a momentum changer.

BruinBlitz.com: Reggie last season you came on really strong as a red shirt freshman as a starter what do you have planned for the Bruins this year?

Carter: "Just to get better everyday. Last year was actually my first year as a starter and it was our first year together with the new coordinator and as a full defensive group and coming into this year we have only lost one starter so we are very confident together that we know the defense, which is about producing and getting better and better every week."

BruinBlitz.com: There is that classic photo of you standing over USC quarterback John David Booty what were saying to him?

Carter: "That was actually really quick. I was surprised they got the picture because, I was going to say a lot to him, but right when I looked at him the ref started yelling at me and I didn't want any penalties on the first play of the game so I just said something to him real quick and ran off.

"I guess the camera man got the quick picture in there and that's the picture of my career for right now.
