Post-spring football anaylsis: D-line

Prior to the start of spring drills, Mississippi State defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson made it crystal clear that Jesse Bowman was not on campus to sit and watch. Even in his first days as a Bulldog, the former Copiah-Lincoln CC standout knew much was expected from him.

With the Bulldogs looking to replace a pair of starters in the middle with the graduation of Deljuan Robinson and Andrew Powell, not to mention the loss of key reserve Antonio Johnson, Johnson entered spring drills hoping to piece together another strong unit for the 2007 season.
Fortunately for Johnson, Bowman rose to the occasion.
