Loucks needing more time
Point guards with size are a coveted prospect for most high-major programs. After showing off his smooth ball-handling, slick passing and dead eye shooting, Luke Loucks did a fine job of separating himself from the pack of the nation's point guards last weekend in Virginia.
The 6-foot-4, 192-pound floor general from Clearwater (Fla.) High School was one of the bright spots for Nike Team Florida as he mixed it all together on the offensive side of the ball. His play kept his squad in tight games and his sharp shooting helped his team climb out of some big holes.
Loucks, a four-star prospect in the class of 2008, is quickly emerging as a must get guy for the high-majors in a point guard thin talent pool. It makes sense that his list is ever growing, and changing, as he heads into the spring evaluation period.
