Woolridge looking to lead

Renaldo Woolridge is one of the more exciting players from California in the 2008 class and helped lead his Harvard-Westlake team to an impressive 22-6 record. The team's only major stumbling blocks were two losses to Southern California powerhouse Compton (Calif.), including a state playoff defeat. With an eventful year ahead of him, Woolridge hopes to lead the Wolverines back to the playoffs and beyond.

"I am taking more of a captain's role," said Woolridge, "I am getting to the point where I can really lead the team."

Top schools around the country have also taken notice and are feverishly recruiting this hot prospect. Many of the big West Coast programs such as Arizona, UCLA and the University of Washington hope to woo this small forward, but so far, he has only one official offer, coming from Pepperdine.
