Practice report: Roster shake-ups

Missouri held its fifth practice of the spring, but its first since spring break. Much to report today.

*Defensive end John Stull is back on the team. Stull left a couple of weeks ago. It had been reported there was a chance, albeit it not a great one, that Stull would be back on the roster, and it appears that has happened. Gary Pinkel said he is back on scholarship, but has some conditions he must meet for the remainder of the semester.

*One of the longest-speculated changes has finally happened. Connell Davis has moved from tailback to linebacker. I will have a full story on this tomorrow.

The staff approached Davis with the idea prior to spring break and he came back ready to make the switch.

*With Davis out of the picture, Jimmy Jackson was second-string at tailback, Marcus Woods third and Earl Goldsmith fourth.

*Goldsmith left practice midway through with what looked like an injury to his left shoulder. He came back on the field, minus pads and jersey, about 20 minutes later. Pinkel said after practice he did not know the extent of the injury.
