Rambo pays Athens another visit
South Georgia athlete Bacarri Rambo traveled up to Athens again on Saturday to visit the University of Georgia. The last time Rambo visited Athens he gave Mark Richt a verbal commitment. He is now considered a soft commitment to the Dawgs, but other schools are coming after him. He talks about his visit to UGA, his interest in the Dawgs, what schools are recruiting him and more here.
"The visit went alright - I had a good time," said Rambo. "Last time we looked around the campus more and this time I got to watch the team scrimmage. It was pretty cool."
The last time Rambo spoke to Coach Richt is when he was offered a scholarship. He talked to the Bulldog Head Coach again this time and he enjoyed that.
"It is nice to talk with Coach Richt," he said. "We talked about a little bit of everything. We talked about me, my family, school, and Georgia. It was kind of like last time and he is real easy to talk to. He is just a good guy."
This visit was a little different for Rambo as he spent more time out on the practice field instead of touring the campus.
"We got to watch practice and it was very intense. A lot of trash talking was going on out there they have good speed and strength out there. I really saw a lot of strength in their players."
"I watched the defense mostly and the defensive backs the most. The have a lot of strength and quickness at that position. They were really moving out there."
Rambo continuously talked about the strength of Georgia's players and he had a chance to see where that comes from during his visit.
"We spent some time with their strength and conditioning coach and that was nice. We got to see all the facilities they work out in and that they train in. It was real nice and it looked great. They are making it bigger soon too. I liked that."
