Bruins Survive And Advance
Nobody said it would be easy, and the Bruins found themselves in an ugly brawl of a basketball game on Saturday night in Sacramento, but they were able to find a way to pull out a victory in the final minute, ending Indiana's season, 54-49 in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
You can credit the defense if you'd like, and certainly both teams worked overtime on that end of the floor, but this was one of the poorest displays of shooting we've seen all season.
The Hoosiers were shooting below the 20 percent mark at the half, and were only able to muster 13 points in the opening session. Granted, the Bruins came out playing terrific defense, but IU missed its fair share of open shots, both in the paint and on the perimeter.
