A&M ends season at Reed against Missouri
It's the last game at Reed Arena, and the final one for Texas A&M seniors Acie Law, Antanas Kavaliauskas, Marlon Pompey, Logan Lee, Brian Blackburn and Josh Johnston. Missouri, however, will be looking to spoil Senior Day Saturday at 3 p.m.
No. 6 A&M (24-5, 12-3 Big 12) will be looking to rebound from a tough loss in double overtime in Austin Wednesday night that will go down as one of the most thrilling games of the 2006-07 season. Missouri (18-10, 7-8) is a team looking for a chance to play in the postseason. Even though the Tigers' NCAA hopes this season have most likely floated, the NIT is still a strong possibility.
Missouri has won four of its last five and is one of the hotter teams in the league, but they've actually been decent on the road in the conference with a 3-4 road record. Head coach Mike Anderson has infused his running style into the Tigers, and has done a solid turnaround job this season.
It's the future, however, where Anderson could truly bring Missouri back into national prominence. A&M, however, needs a rebound win in order to stay in the mix for a No. 1 seed and a share of the Big 12 championship.
