Getting to know Dom DeCicco

Now that Dave Wannstedt and his staff have put the finishing touches on the 2007 recruiting class, Pantherlair.com is taking a closer look at each of the recruits. A versatile athlete, DeCicco was a three-year starter on both sides of the ball for Thomas Jefferson…switched from receiver to quarterback for his senior season and led the team to the WPIAL AAA championship and semifinals of the PIAA playoffs with a 14-1 record…passed for 1,132 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for 1,064 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior…Pittsburgh Post-Gazette WPIAL Class AAA Player of the Year…selected to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "Fabulous 22", Pittsburgh Tribune-Review "Terrific 25", and Harrisburg Patriot-News "Platinum 33"…first team All-Big Seven…Associated Press Class AAA All-State second team

What has been your most memorable moment on the football field? Winning a state championship my sophomore year, but also my senior year winning the WPIAL, and having a great time as a senior.

Who is your hero? My dad. I just look up to him in a bunch of different ways.
