Osby a top priority for elite programs
It was only a matter of time before Romero Osby emerged as one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2008. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound small forward from Northeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian, Miss., has been a starter at the varsity level since his eighth grade year, but the four-star prospect has simply taken his game to another level throughout his junior campaign.
Osby has established himself as a top priority for some of the nation's most prestigious basketball programs, including the Kansas Jayhawks.
Osby is the subject of one of the most intense recruiting battles in the class of 2008. Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Memphis, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Kansas State and Ole Miss continue to make a strong push for the talented small forward.
As it stands right now, Osby has solid scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Kansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State, Kansas State and Ole Miss.
