Video: Chris Allen vs. Richard Howell

When future Spartan Chris Allen was a freshman at Meadowcreek, he put his name on the national recruiting radar by dropping nearly 30 points on Gwinnett County legend Gerald Green as a true freshman.

Green was a lottery pick by the Boston Celtics right out of high school and has since had a solid career in the NBA. Since that time, Allen has become a Gwinnett County legend in his own right, and a player that the next generation of Atlanta area basketball stars use as their measuring stick.

Gwinnett Central sophomore Richard Howell is in a position similar to the one Allen was in as a freshman. The 6-foot-7 Howell is a budding star in a deep Gwinnett County talent pool. And Howell, who is considered by most recruiting analysts a Top 25 player in the Class of 2009, has proven himself against some of the Peach State's top competition.

Spartanmag.com has exclusive video highlights of Howell and Allen squaring off in the second meeting between Meadowcreek and Gwinnett Central. Howell scored 24 points and Allen scored 45 points in a 89-85 victory.
