Georgia (7-4, 4-4) vs. #16 Georgia Teach (9-2, 7-1)

Pre-game Storylines

Georgia upset #5 Auburn on the road and they hope to continue their role as a spoiler facing instate rival Georgia Tech in Athens. The Bulldogs have never lost to Georgia Tech under head coach Mark Richt and the Yellow Jackets have struggled against quality opponents this season.

The Bulldogs have been battling injuries for the last several weeks, but they had their first break of the season last week and Georgia has all of their players with minor injuries back for Georgia Tech.

Defensive coordinator Willie Martinez will put cornerback Paul Oliver on All-American wide receiver Calvin Johnson one-on-one. In 2005, Martinez put cornerback DeMario Minter on Johnson and held him to only two catches for 14 yards and one touchdown.

Georgia and freshman quarterback Matthew Stafford and head coach Mark Richt will look to capitalize on their momentum from the Auburn game against a tough Georgia Tech defense.

Senior wide receiver Mario Raley was cleared to play in the Georgia Tech game after missing several weeks of practice following a brutal hit in the Kentucky game that left him with spinal bruise and a concussion.
