Martin leads K-State over MU in thriller

There wasn't a shortage of standout performances during Kansas State's 80-73 win over Missouri. David Hoskins finished with 25 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats (16-6, 5-2), and Tiger (13-7, 2-5) point guard Stefhon Hannah produced in the face of a hostile crowd, scoring 27 points while hitting six 3-pointers and dishing out six assists.

But without taking anything away from Hoskins, Hannah or others, it was Cartier Martin's effort that was most memorable Wednesday night.

And it almost didn't happen.

"Cartier played well. I wasn't sure he was going to play," K-State coach Bob Huggins said. "He banged his knee in the shoot-around. He was out there kind of hobbling, but I think he came out and played really well.

"That may have been as complete a game as he played since I've been here."
