UVa taking long look at Texas combo Green

It looks like Virginia will take just one perimeter player in its 2008 recruiting class, and the Cavaliers have been scouring the nation in hopes of finding the perfect fit. CavsCorner has profiled numerous targets in recent months, and a new name has surfaced, as UVa has gotten seriously involved with Jeremy Green, a high-scoring combo guard from Austin, Texas. We caught up with Green for an update on his recruitment.

The Bowie High School standout had been hearing from Virginia and his lead recruiter Rob Lanier for the last several months, but things really picked up last November.

As things stand, the Cavaliers are among the top five for Green's services right now, joining Texas, Georgia Tech, Baylor and Stanford.
