Darkins loves official visit to Corvallis

He may have been to Corvallis before a million times. But Will Darkins was still treated to an official visit to Oregon State, and it was an experience the tough 6-foot-2, 217-pounder won't soon forget. The Lake Oswego High School linebacker was brought in along with several other top targets from the Class of 2007, and it was a trip that only confirmed Darkins' decision to become a Beaver for the next four to five years.

"My visit was great - I had a great time," Darkins said. "I went to some parties, went around town, and got to know the coaches and everything. I really got to know Coach Newhouse and I know it's going to be great working with him. Gabe Miller was my host, so it was pretty easy going since we were pretty good friends in high school. I had a nice time hanging out with him and going around Corvallis."
