Thin at the End

After a bout with food poising during fall camp, Jeff Schweiger lost too much weight to make an impact in the Trojans' new 3-4 hybrid defense. Ironically, his transfer from USC this week makes the Trojans' depth at defensive end thin.

Schweiger - a former five-star Parade All-American selection - leaves the program with two years to play one.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 260-pounds, Schweiger entered fall camp in August at just under 240-pounds. Known as a speed rusher, Schweiger struggled against the run as he constantly battled injuries during his career as a Trojan.
