OU's Longar to be suspended by the Big 12

Bob Knight and Oklahoma developed a hostile relationship during Kelvin Sampson's time in Norman. A clock operator error sent Knight into a rage several years ago after Hollis Price drove the length of the court to sink a game-winning shot using more time than was available on the clock.

Knight then refused to attend a symposium on ethics which was chaired by Oklahoma's Sampson. Knight got a reprieve from that controversy when Sampson ended up breaking NCAA rules for improper contact on 500-plus instances over five years.

But with Jeff Capel coming to Norman, the Mike Krzyzewski disciple and Bobby Knight coaching tree member was expected to alleviate the former strife between OU and Knight.

But Knight and Capel have officially started off on the wrong foot. And Sooner fans will never feel more animosity toward Knight than they'll feel later today when it will be announced that Longar Longar will receive a two-game suspension from the Big 12 Conference.
