Clay talks commitment

This past week has been a busy one for four-star running back John Clay, but BadgerBlitz.com finally caught up with him Tuesday afternoon to talk about his commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers.

You can read comments from the Racine, Wis., native in the question and answer piece below.

Could you tell me when maybe you thought Wisconsin was the right place for you?

JC: "I was sitting down with my parents and we were talking and I started to think about what would be the best choice for me and I figured out it would be Wisconsin because it's right at home and it has everything I need in my academics and in football."

Do you remember what day that was?

JC: "It was a couple days before I announced it (at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl)."

What was the process you went through to decide on either Iowa or Wisconsin?

JC: "We had taken notes about each school and then we just compared notes of each of the schools to see which one was the best program. Both had good programs, but I liked Wisconsin better because of the football and they had, for my degree I'm going into for business, they had a good graduation rate."
