Cats look to rebound at A&M
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Kansas State has little time to feel sorry for its self after Wednesday's loss to Xavier in Cincinnati. The 76-66 setback against the Musketeers snapped K-State's six-game winning streak and left the Wildcats looking for answers heading into tonight's Big 12 Conference opener at Texas A&M, and the 11th-ranked Aggies don't represent the type of competition typically conducive to regaining confidence.
Both of the Aggies' (12-2) losses this season came to Final Four teams from a year ago in LSU and UCLA, including a 65-62 defeat at the hands of the top-ranked Bruins. A&M has cruised outside of its two losses, showing exactly why the Aggies were picked to finish second in the conference before the season began.
K-State knows that it must correct the mistakes it made against Xavier if it hopes to knock off A&M in Reed Arena.
