Huskies trying to avoid third straight loss
It was a bit surprising to see Washington lose its first two games of the conference season. However, the season is not getting any easier and Arizona now has a difficult task of traveling to Washington and facing a team that is hungry for a win.
In order for Washington to defeat Arizona, the Huskies are going to need to do numerous things better than they have earlier in the season.
Point guard Ryan Appleby says that it is a matter of the Huskies playing as a team on both sides of the ball.
"Defensively we have to have five guys on same page the whole time out there on the floor," Appleby said. "Offensively the same thing, we have to have five guys on the same page knowing what is going on out there and playing as a team. Overall if we have five guys playing as a team on offense and defense we should have a good chance to win both games."
There has not been much of a problem in the paint for the Huskies, but the guard play has been disappointing to say the least. Justin Dentmon has been consistently forcing the issue and seems to be a different player than he was last season.
