LSU-Notre Dame notebook

The 27-point margin of victory was the second greatest in LSU's 19 bowl victories. The most lopsided LSU bowl victory took place last season when the Tigers beat Miami 40-3 in the Peach Bowl.

LSU is now 3-0 in BCS games with all three of its appearances coming in the Sugar Bowl. The Tigers defeated Illinois 47-34 in 2002 and Oklahoma 21-14 in 2004.

The 577 yards of offense were the most for LSU in a game this season. The previous high was 546 yards against Kentucky.

Freshman Keiland Williams, who ran for two touchdowns, rushed for a season-high 107 yards on 14 attempts. Williams averaged nearly eight yards per carry. Justin Vincent, in his final game, picked up a season-best 71 yards on the ground.

Craig Davis, who caught four passes for 50 yards, made a reception in all 35 games in which he participated in his career. Dwayne Bowe finished with a catch in his last 25 games as a LSU player.
