Huggins, Walker only worried about Xavier

CINCINNATI - Bob Huggins said it's not the story; so did Bill Walker. But don't try and tell any of the media buzzing in Cincinnati that the return of Huggins, the former University of Cincinnati head coach, and Walker, who starred locally at North College Hill High School, isn't the biggest storyline of tonight's Kansas State-Xavier contest.

"It's just a good game for us," Huggins answered when asked about returning to the city he made his name in. "It's a national television game played in an area where we want to recruit, and it's a quality opponent. It's everything you want in a non-conference game."

All true, but one has to believe Huggins has some feelings about his homecoming to the place where he helped the Bearcats become one of the nation's elite programs.
