UT's best class ever?

It wasn't that long ago when a recruiting class comprised of Vince Young, Justin Blalock, Rod Wright and a host of other future prep stars were expected to lead the Texas Longhorns back to glory.

Five years after arriving in Austin, it's clear that the Class of 2002 more than lived up to the hype, as they did lead the Texas program to its first national championship since the Nixon administration.

That recruiting class is also serving as a precursor for the Class of 2007. Just like the group that arrived on the 40 Acres five years ahead of them, the current group of future Longhorns is expected to lead the program to greatness.

High expectations for sure, but it's the type of challenge that led many in this year's class to the 40 Acres in the first place.
