Edwards appears to have three on top

Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater was good to Michigan a year ago, sending wide receiver Greg Mathews to Ann Arbor. The Wolverines have a chance to make it two in two years with four-star safety Lorenzo Edwards, a 6-2, 220-pounder ranked Rivals.com's No. 14 safety prospect.

Edwards told the Clemson site TigerIllustrated.com a few weeks back he would narrow it down to two or three schools before announcing at the U.S. Army All-American bowl in early January, adding he'd base his decision on where he feels most comfortable and on the school's architecture program. Edgewater head coach Bill Gierke said this week the final trio seems to have been set.

"I think it's down to the three schools he's most interested in are Michigan, Notre Dame and Florida," said Gierke. "He's met with coaches from all of them every week, when they are passing through."
