UA needs more from bench

Five turnovers, four fouls, three assists, three rebounds, one steal and one point. That was the combined stat line of Arizona's bench in its 102-87 victory over New Mexico State on Sunday afternoon at McKale Center.

The UA bench had more turnovers and fouls combined than points, rebounds, assists and steals put together. Clearly, that's a problem.

It was expected that freshman Jordan Hill would get a chance to make a significant impact against New Mexico State, but he got off the bench and immediately picked up two fouls to go with a turnover.
