Alabama blows out opener 96-65

The 2006-07 season began with a bang for 11th-ranked Alabama as the Crimson Tide rolled over the Jackson State Tigers 96-65 in the Tide's season opener.

"It was a good team win. I liked the way we played as far as sharing the ball tonight. We defended them pretty well but I thought we could have rebounded the ball a little better defensively. The defensive rebounding and the foul shooting were the areas I think needed the most work after tonight. But our guys played together, they really passed well to one another and we got to play a lot of guys so all in all it was a pretty good night."
