Campbell closing in on sack record
It was toward the end of his weekly news conference and Ron Prince said something that raised an eyebrow. Kansas State is currently at .500 and barring a Manhattan-sized miracle won't represent the North division in the Big 12 Championship game. But asked about the challenge facing the Wildcats as they push forward, Prince said, "There's nothing going on that a good pass rush won't cure."
Now Prince, the 37-year-old first-year head coach and former offensive lineman in college (1988-91) appreciates a good pass rush. So does first-year defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, who saw the likes of Warren Sapp while he served as an assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, defensive line coach Mo Latimore has seen his share of decent pass rushers stroll through the Vanier Football Complex in his 22 years with the Wildcats.
