K-State looking for No. 14

The streak. Some of the contests have been close, such as then No. 1 Kansas State's 31-25 win in Columbia against Corby Jones and Missouri in 1998. Some haven't been so close; take K-State's 66-0 demolition of the Tigers the following year in Manhattan or a 38-0 K-State victory at Missouri in 2002, for example.

The circumstances have been different, but the last 13 times the Wildcats and Tigers have met, the outcome has always been the same: a K-State win.

With the Wildcats (4-3, 1-2) and the 24th-ranked Tigers (6-1, 2-1) set to meet again this Saturday at Faurot Field in Columbia, K-State's 13-game winning streak over its border rivals to the east was obviously the talk of Tuesday's weekly press conference at the Vanier Football Complex.

Well, the talk amongst reporters at least. K-State's players claimed to know little about the streak.
