Still on the radar

It's been all quiet on the Texas Longhorns recruiting front for the last couple of months, but things could pick up in the final months leading up to signing day.

One player that remains in the picture is Dallas (Texas) Skyline defensive back Christian Scott. In fact, Texas assistant coach Bruce Chambers called the Skyline staff recently to make sure that they know that they are still interested in the four-star playmaker.

While the Longhorns are taking their time in recruiting Scott, the 6-0, 185-pound star took some time out of his busy schedule to take in last week's Texas-Oklahoma game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

"It was a lovely atmosphere," Scott said. "I really had a good time being around all of the fans. It was a really good game there for a while."

When Scott talks about official visits at this stage of the process, he already has a few schools in mind, but nothing is set in stone.

"I'd like to set up a visit to LSU for sure," Scott said. "I'd also like to set up a visit to Florida State - those two for sure. I'm not sure if I would take an official visit to Texas or not. I've already been on an unofficial visit and they are right down the highway, so I could take an unofficial visit again if I want."

Although Scott doesn't list a leader right now, his top five is believed to consist of Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State , LSU and either Texas A&M or Oklahoma State."

"It's really too early (to name a leader) because I haven't taken any visits and I want to take some visits before I (name one)," Scott said.
