Coker: We're starting to get a personality

A day after Miami's 27-7 win over North Carolina at the Orange Bowl, coach Larry Coker summed up his thoughts on the game.

"This was a good win for us," Coker said. "North Carolina tends to get cranked up for us. We had to respond. We came up with some big plays when we had to. The run defense, they have two really good backs, we did a good job. They had less than 60 yards in rushing offense. They allowed four sacks the entire season, and we got three yesterday. Their combined record of teams that beat them is 17-3. It was a real good effort. We put a lot of pressure on the quarterback, were close to getting several more sacks. [We had] three turnovers, the two interceptions, one fumble [recovery].
