Travis Reier's Top 10 Tiders

The following is a list of Top 10 Tiders for Week 3 for the 2006 football season. Every Wednesday, BOL senior writer Travis Reier lists his top 10 Tide performers from the previous game. In effect, the list serves as a week-to-week ranking of Alabama's most valuable players.

1. Keith Brown Last Week: 1
The junior continues to put up impressive numbers, hauling in five passes for 82 yards against ULM. Brown has caught at least one pass in ten straight games. Leads SEC receiverswith 6.33 catches per game.

2. Andre Smith Last Week: 9
This might a little high for Smith, but we've already seen him do things in his first three games at left that haven't been done in quite sometime at UA. Leads all players with 193 snaps (including special teams) this season.

3. Antoine Caldwell Last Week: 4
Caldwell is the stabilizing force for an offensive line breaking in new starters at four different positions. Will play a large role in neautralizing Arkansas' stout defensive tackles this week. Second behind Smith in snaps with 183.

4. Wallace Gilberry Last Week: 4
Gilberry recorded three tackles and a pass breakup against ULM. Leads Tide defensive linemen in snaps played with 114. Gilberry's run defending skills will be put to the test this week.

5. John Parker Wilson Last Week: 4
Three starts with over 200 yards passing. His four touchdown passes have averaged 31.5 yards. Two TD passes last week marked career high. Will make first career road start at Arkansas this week.

6. Le'Ron McClain Last Week: NR
Lost a fumble at the end of his second reception against ULM, but showed unusually good feet for a fullback in making his way into the end zone on a 17-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Also had several devastating blocks, including one on Tim Castille's 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

7. Simeon Castille Last Week: 2
Had five tackles and a pass breakup against ULM. His six career interceptions lead the defense. Second on the defense in snaps played with 167.

8. Travis McCall Last Week: NR
Two catches for 41 yards against ULM. McCall is averaging 13 yards per recpetion on six career grabs. Has started all three games at tight end this season. Hands down the best blocking TE on the roster.

9. Terrence Jones Last Week: NR
Led the Tide in tackles with seven against ULM. Combined with Gilberry to stuff a fourth-and-1 play early in the fourth quarter. UA's leading tackler with 16 stops.

10. Jeffrey Dukes Last Week: NR
