Tubby, Hobbs 'suit' up for Patterson in-home visit

If the Pattersons had a guest book at their Huntington, W.Va., home, the signatures from this week alone would be quite the collectible.

Tubby Smith, head of the winningest program in college basketball history. Mike Krzyzewski, the one coach who needs only his last initial for identification. Billy Donovan, coach of the 2006 national champions.

It's in-home visit time, and few prospects have a guest list like Patrick Patterson, the No. 2 rated power forward prospect in all America by Rivals.com. But that's what you get when you're the hottest player in the country during the summer AAU season. Patterson (6-foot-8, 230) jumped from No. 72 to No. 14 in the overall Rivals 150 national rankings, and he has earned the privilege of choosing between some of the nation's top athletic universities.
