Scrimmage Report: Offense starts quick

The final day of the Tide's 2006 fall camp featured a 63-play scrimmage in which, as expected, the first team units on each side of the ball dominated.


The Tide offense came out with it's strongest opening drive yet scoring on a Tim Castille goal line rush after four straight completions by John Parker Wilson including a 38 yard pass to Will Oakley and a 24 yard completion to Nick Walker.


"We came out today and we had talked in meetings about how we wanted to come out fast," Wilson said. "We hadn't scored on the first drive of our previous scrimmages so it was good that we were able to do that. "
