Special on special teams

Special teams have been a point of emphasis for Guy Morriss since he arrived on campus, and it was obvious from day one. In his first game at the helm Baylor lost on a last second play but not before James Todd blocked a punt that ended up being a safety.

The return game has been one of the best in the Big 12 the last few seasons. Willie Andrews held the punt and kick return jobs in 2004 and 2005, earning All-Big 12 honors both seasons as a specialist. He finished with Baylor records in total kick returns (164), kick return yardage (2,596), kickoff returns (67), kickoff return yardage (1,647), and punt return yardage (949).
