Thursday practice report, take two
Missouri went through their second practice of the day in just shorts and shells. It was also, by far, the most abbreviated session of camp. Players were on the field for just more than an hour.
The Tigers hit the practice field for the afternoon session of two-a-days without another one of their captains. With Brad Ekwerekwu already out after having his appendix removed, seeing, David Overstreet wearing a red jersey on the sideline this afternoon was not what anyone wanted. Overstreet has been in a red pullover the last couple days, but was held out of drills for the first time this afternoon.
*It looked as if Evander Hood has moved up to the first team at defensive tackle, at least for the time being. Jamar Smith looked to be running second team.
*William Franklin appears to really be developing as a go-to guy for Chase Daniel. The three hooked up on three straight snaps in seven-on-seven.
*Chase Coffman was up to his old tricks again. Brandon Coleman led the sophomore a little too much over the middle, but Coffman stretched and made the play with his hands. Coffman hasn't been as spectacular this fall as he was last fall, but his hands are second to none.
*Tommy Saunders continues to impress with his hands. He made a beautiful catch in the end zone. DeQuincy Howard also had a couple of nice grabs from Chase Patton. Kind of a tough position to move up at, though.
