Bruin quarterbacks ready to compete

If the offensive line is the motor that makes the Bruin offense run, the quarterback position is what drives the unit. When the quarterback is clicking and the offensive line is playing well, the UCLA offense is a thing of football artistry.

Because the quarterback position is so important to the success of this offense, Bruin fans were thrilled back in December of 2004 when Ben Olson decided to continue his college education and football career for UCLA and head coach Karl Dorrell.

Dorrell spearheaded the effort and had a lot to with the landing of one of biggest recruits the Bruins have landed since he took over as UCLA's head coach.

Bruin fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of the Ben Olson era. After all, Olson was one of the nation's most highly sought after recruits when he was a senior out of Thousand Oaks high school when he ended up signing with BYU.
