Holmes makes it official
It's been a very successful week for A&M head basketball coach Billy Gillispie. Normally a quiet summer period leading up to fall official visits, the Gillispie has been busy taking calls from some of the best senior high school basketball recruits in the state of Texas.
Last Thursday, Gillispie received a phone call from the No.33-rated prospect in the Rivals Top 150, Deandre Jordan, pledging to play for the Aggies in 2007. On the heels of that announcement, A&M received more good news on the recruiting trail yesterday when Alief Hastings point guard B.J. Holmes called Gillispie to add his name to the growing class of 2007 commitment list.
Holmes chose A&M over scholarship offers from Georgetown, Michigan and UNC-Charlotte.
