KC Pump N Run top Team Texas in OT

With all eyes on local stars Tyrel Reed, Travis Releford, and Conner Teahan Friday night, including coaches from Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Oregon, UNLV, and Stanford, the KC Pump N Run didn't disappoint, defeating Team Texas 97-91 in overtime. Jayhawk Slant was in Shawnee, Kan., for opening night action.

Reed, Rivals No. 58 ranked player in the class of 2007, led the way with 27 points, three of which came in dramatic fashion.

After KC took the early lead, Team Texas, led by Rotnei Clark, and Nate Miles, fought back to within two; however, KC went on 17-8 run, including a spectacular drive to the hoop by Releford resulting in a basket and the foul. Releford finished the game with 23 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
