Busy summer rolls on for UVa commit Zeglinski

Despite the fact that Sam Zeglinski hasn't even started his senior year of high school, he will always be remembered as the first player to commit to Virginia after Dave Leitao took over the program. It has been a busy summer for Zeglinski who has played in tournaments or participated in camps week after week. CavsCorner caught up with UVa's future point guard to talk about his play, his upcoming schedule and the Cavaliers' recruiting efforts.


When we last talked to Zeglinski, he was preparing to head to Charlottesville for Virginia's Elite Camp. And a lot has happened since then.


He took part in that camp, then participated in the Cavaliers' team camp, headed straight to the NBA Players Camp and has since played in two AAU tournaments that were sandwiched around the prestigious Nike Camp.


"The NBA Camp was great because I got to play against a lot of the best players in the country," Zeglinski said. "But I hurt my knee on the third day of the Nike Camp. I still played the rest of the week and then the next week at the Reebok Tournament in New Jersey."
