Eltoro Freeman is Tigers' 10th commitment

Auburn picked up a huge commitment Tuesday when Alexander City, Ala., Benjamin Russell four-star linebacker Eltoro Freeman gave his pledge to sign with the Tigers.


Freeman, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound head-hunter, chose the Tigers over offers from Clemson, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Louisville among others.


"I have made up my mind and Auburn will be my new home," said Freeeman. "I fell in love with the coaching staff. They are good people and I love the school and everything about Auburn.


"I will really enjoy playing linebacker under coach James Willis."


Freeman actually informed the Tiger coaching staff on Saturday during the senior camp. Needless to say, the coaches were happy.


"I talked to coach Tommy Tuberville and (recruting) coach Al Borges and told them I was committing," he said. "They were real excited. Coach Tubs gave me a great big hug. That made me feel great."
