Bell seasoned and ready
When Aubrey Bell signed with Mississippi State he knew was the type of receiver that Coach Croom envisioned for his offense. After a freshmen year of growing pains, Aubrey now looks to grab a spot in the receiver rotation. Playing inconsistently through his freshmen year Aubrey realized some things he could do to make the Bulldogs a better team.
"I want to bring a deep threat to the offense this year," he said. "I also want to bring a physical mentality to our receiving corps this year. In the run game, I want to be able to help the team by blocking better down field."
As the Bulldogs continue their transition to the West Coast Offense, Coach Croom continues to bring in big and physical receivers.
"The receivers that we have brought in have given me some confidence," Bell explained. "When we get into throwing situations it gives Michael Henig more targets to throw at. We have more big time players and now the defense can't really focus on one guy. We also create match up problems with our height in the red zone. We have a lot of guys that can make plays so it's going to make it easier for each individual receiver to make some plays in the open field."
