Dawgs hope Harris can stand tall in 2006
The prognosis of Georgia flanker Sean Bailey is still up in the air. But no matter if Bailey is healthy enough to play or not this fall, the Bulldogs will need all the receiving help that they can get from the tall frame of sophomore Kenneth Harris.
Going into preseason camp, Harris will lead a handful of receivers vying for playing time at the flanker position in both experience and height. Harris stands at six-foot three-inches, making him the second-tallest Georgia receiver behind true freshman Kris Durham, a candidate to redshirt this fall.
The Bulldogs will be looking for a receiver to out-leap tall defensive backs on the opposing side of the ball with the 6-7 tight end Leonard Pope having gone to the NFL. There will be some help with some tight ends within the Georgia program in the form of 6-4 senior Martrez Milner and the 6-6 sophomore Tripp Chandler. NaDerris Ward, a 6-4 true freshman, could also be a factor.
