Future plans in works for Beasley

Michael Beasley gave Kansas State coach Bob Huggins a verbal commitment late last week and then today he found out his status for the Team USA 18 and under basketball team. The nation's No. 4 rated prospect completed the tryouts for the team last week and was informed today of the final results.

"I did make the team," the 6-foot-10, 235-pound Beasley said.

Beasley is one of 12 players chosen by USA Basketball and the team's coach Washington's Lorenzo Romar.

Beasley also confirmed other published reports that he will be leaving annual basketball powerhouse Oak Hill Academy and enrolling at another school for next season.
