NBA Top 100 Camp Overview

Many of the country's top high school basketball players found their way to Richmond this past week for the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp, which was held in the Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University.

In year's past, the Top 100 Camp has been a dream setting for evaluators, a virtual who's who of college basketball prospects, all under the same roof, competing against each another.

Although the competition level was very high this past week, from a North Carolina perspective, this year's camp was something of a letdown, as many of the top prospects on UNC's board elected to stay home.

Among the notable absences were Kevin Love, Julian Vaughn, J.J. Hickson, and Tyreke Evans, who all were present at the 2005 Top 100 Camp.

Despite the absences, there was still plenty of outstanding basketball to be seen, and over three days of sessions, Carolina Blue was right in the middle of the action.
